Egypt Launches EGP 1.2 Billion Plan to Revamp Aswan’s Sanitation and Drinking Water Facilities
Aswan’s Governor, Ahmed Ibrahim, has announced the launch of a mega project at a cost of EGP 1.2bn to refurbish the governorate’s sanitation and drinking water infrastructure.
According to Ahram Online, Abu El-Reesh, Kom Ombo and Aqaba residents have filed multiple complaints regarding water supply and drainage blockage.
Following a check-up to evaluate the technical status of Aswan’s power generators in Abu El-Reesh, the plan was mandated by Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly.
The project will include power stations and generators to prevent water supply issues caused by electricity cuts.
