From Dubai to New York in Less Than 8 Hours with These Supersonic Flights
A new supersonic plane has been announced in Dubai that will allow passengers to reach their destination in half the time.
We’re not joking. US-based company Boom has confirmed that it is working on supersonic jets that will cut the existing flight time from Dubai to London or Abu Dhabi to Sydney by half when its supersonic passenger jet comes into commercial operation.
“Today, it takes 7:50 hours to fly from Dubai to London, or takes 14 hours if you fly from Abu Dhabi to Sydney. Boom will reduce the time to 4:32 hours and 8 hours, respectively,” company founder and chief executive Blake Scholl said during a presentation at Dubai Future Foundation.
The first test flight will take off next year from the company’s headquarters in the US, but the first full flight with passengers will take off in 2023.
