Adidas just revealed their new take on the “classic varsity jackets”. Designed to be worn before and after training, the VRCT has the classic bomber aesthetic with a sleek, modern fit, featuring flexible, lightweight material to offer maximum freedom of movement and comfort. They are available in three colorways: blue, black and navy with cream sleeves.
The VRCT features a customizable patch which is now complete with an exclusive badge that just dropped for the Middle East. ‘Yala!’ is one of the most common expressions in the UAE, for Arabic and non-Arabic speakers. So, it seems right that Adidas Middle East has created a Yala badge among other unique badges.
Buyers can choose a word selected by some of Adidas’ leading creators, including James Harden (FAMILY), Denise Schindler (I’MPERFECT) and Ning Zetao (BRAVE).
Regional personalities and entrepreneurs represented their chosen badge in a local photoshoot, showing off the jacket’s stylish scope for creativity and uniqueness, and not to mention to support the Middle Eastern touch for the customizable badges.
Dubai-based Adidas athlete Walid Yari chose the ‘yala’ badge, Lu D’Souza, a body-positivity activist, chose “I’mperfect”, Tima Deryan, a mountaineer, entrepreneur and activist opted for “Brave”; and TV presenter Enjy Kiwan went for “Family”.
