Cairo Restaurant Trends In 2014
The food and dining industry in the Egyptian capital is booming; it seems like there’s a new restaurant opening every day. But it doesn’t just seem that way – according to El Menus, 353 new eateries debuted in seven different areas of the Egyptian capital in 2014.
In an infographic published this week, El Menus shared their top rated dishes – including Mince’s Mushroom Burger (arguably the best mushroom burger in Cairo) in Zamalek, Fatteh Dejaj at Olives in Tagamoa and Murgh Makhani at Maharaja in Mohandeseen – as well as the most expensive dishes listed last year.
El Menus also revealed the differences in how male and female accounts searched for food on their website and app. Not surprisingly, men searched mostly for pizza, while women searched mostly for sushi.
