Bahrain Celebrates the Gulf Cup Victory After the 49-Year Wait
The Kingdom of Bahrain is enjoying nation-wide festivities to celebrate the historic victory they nailed on Sunday, winning the Gulf Cup for the first time after 49 years! The Bahraini team defeated the team of Saudi Arabia in the final 1-0 to be crowned as the champions of the 24th edition of the Arabian Gulf Cup.
The match took place in Doha at the Khalifa International Stadium and was decided after a goal by Mohamed Al Ruhmaihi in the second half time. The Bahrain government has announced a special public holiday after the great victory! His Majesty, King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has ordered the ministries, government departments, and public establishments to remain closed on Monday.
