Al Ahly Advances To Semi Finals Of Africa Champions League
Known as the Cairo giants, the Al Ahly team reigned victorious after defeating Morocco’s Raja Casablanca at the quarter finals of the African Champions League. The win helped advance the 10-time African champions to the semi finals for the fourth consecutive season where they will face Tunisia’s Espérance. This wasn’t the first time that Al Ahly eliminated Raja from the Champions League as just last year, they were able to beat them during the quarterfinals and advanced to the finals where they won the 2022 African Super Cup title.
For many, it was an exciting game especially the second half of the match when Al Ahly really stepped up their game as throughout the second leg of the game, Raja struggled to cut through their defense. With the big win secured, everyone is looking forward to the semi finals match set to take place on May 12.
