There’s an Insane Truck in Front of Waterway That Will Send You to Burger Heaven
Oh dear lord! There are a few things in life that I appreciate regardless of their effect on our bodies and minds, but a delicious burger that will instantly change my mood is one of them. As every avid foodie and miserable human being on a diet, my search for that one meal that will rock my soul on my cheat day is never-ending. Yes, I said cheat day not meal, because a single meal is a joke for toddlers.
Long story short, I heard rumors and read some reviews about a truck in front of Waterway in New Cairo but I had my doubts; that was until my favorite food bloggers, Egyptian Foodies, shared mouth-drooling photos of their menu. Shocks Burger will literally shock your soul, electrify your taste buds, drop your jaw to the ground then ship you straight out to burgers heaven. Yes, it is that good and I swear this is not an ad, but only true love.
The sweet chili cheese fries put every other fries in Egypt to shame. The minced meat is so well-seasoned that it leaves your taste buds in pure bliss. This is a must try!
My choice of guilt was the deep chicken beef bacon sandwich, that has a chunk of mozzarella inside. The best fried chicken sandwich I’ve had in ages and it is GIGANTIC. It is so big and filled with different flavors, it’s more of an experience than a sandwich.
My partner in crime assumed this was just another one of my usual overreactions, so he chose the classic cheeseburger to be on the safe side. I don’t know what happened, but he was moaning and I think I saw a tear on his cheek.
That’s not where heaven ends. They actually have a sandwich called a Shocker, that has fried jalapenos, blue cheese cream, and caramelized onions.
And the grand finale, the lotus Softie. It is neither soft or as cute as a lotus, it is a beast of a dessert. This ice cream left me speechless. Those small crumbles you see over the caramel are the famous Lotus biscuit, crushed into dust to infiltrate your soul and leave you in a trance. EPIC!
And the price list is just as impressive. The sandwiches are almost the same price as McDonald’s but double the size. We all know the disappointment of an aspirin-sized McRoyal sandwich!
