FIX Dessert, the homegrown brand behind the viral Dubai Chocolate craze, has added another milestone to its story after winning the Dubai-it Award in the business projects category. The announcement was made on Saturday by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, who praised the brand for turning a home-based business into an international success.
From a Home Kitchen to International Recognition
The Crown Prince highlighted the journey of FIX Dessert’s founder, Egyptian entrepreneur Sarah Hamouda, and her British husband, Yezen Alani, who turned a small venture into a brand recognised around the world. According to Sheikh Hamdan’s post on X, sales of Dubai-style chocolate rose by an impressive 1,234% in just one year, showing just how far the trend has travelled.

The Chocolate Bar That Started It All
FIX Dessert became a household name among chocolate lovers thanks to its signature bars filled with pistachio cream and crispy knafeh. By bringing together familiar Middle Eastern flavours in an indulgent chocolate bar, the brand caught the internet’s attention and helped turn Dubai Chocolate into a global obsession.

Taking Dubai Chocolate Around the World
What started in a Dubai home kitchen has since grown into an international success, with FIX Dessert products making their way into markets worldwide and onto shelves at more than 100 airports, proving that a local idea can have a seriously global reach. The brand reached more than two million customers and sold over 6.5 million chocolate bars in just 15 months.

FIX Dessert’s Dubai-it Award win is another reminder of how a homegrown idea can grow into a global phenomenon. What began in a home kitchen has helped put Dubai on the chocolate map, turning a sweet treat into an international trend that shows no signs of slowing down.
