To celebrate the success of El Sett in Cinemas, Cairo Prints 6 is hosting a special exhibition from January 22 to January 24 in Downtown Cairo’s Cinema Radio. The film chronicles the life and enduring legacy of Egyptian icon Umm Kulthum, portrayed by Mona Zaki, and has quickly become a talking point among cinephiles and music lovers alike.
As part of the initiative, 80 multinational artists and designers were invited to reinterpret Umm Kulthum through their own creative lenses, exploring how her legacy inspires bold visual expression, emotional memory, and contemporary Arab creativity.

Instead of showcasing official promotional materials fromEl Sett, the exhibition focuses instead on exclusive behind-the-scenes photographs captured by the film’s director Ahmed Mourad and photographer Khaled Zohny. This approach allows participating artists greater freedom for independent self-expression. The showcase ultimately highlights the lasting cultural impact of Umm Kulthum and explores how contemporary artists continue to engage with her timeless influence across generations.
