Shell Egypt Unearths Massive Natural Gas Reserve In The Mediterranean Sea
A natural gas discovery was made in the waters of the Mediterranean Sea. Shell, the international energy company successfully drilled the Mina West in the North East El-Amriya block which revealed a reservoir of gas 250m below sea level.
The successful project is part of Shell’s three-well exploration campaign with Mina West being the first. The Vice President and County Chair of Shell Egypt said a few words about the discovery, “This discovery represents a significant step forward for Shell Egypt, reinforcing our growth aspirations and unwavering commitment as a key partner in Egypt’s energy landscape.”
So far, this major discovery is a significant development for Shell Egypt’s exploration efforts and highlights the company’s push to promote Egypt’s energy resources as well as contribute to its economy.
