Life is Tough, Get a Helmet
You know that moment when you feel that life is just so unfair? Sometimes, you do all what you can but you still don’t get what you deserve. Or when you plan for things and dream of them, but again still they don’t go the same way you wanted.
You wonder why? You keep asking yourself what happened and despite all the advice from your friends, you still feel hurt and still feel that there are many unanswered questions you don’t understand.
The thing is, life isn’t always going to go your way, you are not always going to get what you want and most importantly you will not understand why things are happening, yes, you are going to get hurt, your heart will break, which will lead you to want to give up.
But, ask yourself this: “Is it all that bad?” Instead of focusing on the heartbreaks remind yourself of all those great happy moments, instead of grieving on your failures; be proud of your successes. Just think about all the down moments as the only way to finally get what you want. Think about them as the only method to achieve great things.
Nothing worthy comes easy; you have to earn what you get. And, if you don’t understand something in your life, if you can’t understand “the reasons,” then you better stop thinking about them because you will waste too much time and energy stuck in a never ending spiral that is, “why?”
If you can’t forgive the people who let you down, think about forgiving them as a way to move on because all those negative emotions you are feeling are not going to hurt them; however, in fact they will torture you instead. This might sound really weird and cheesy but forgive people not because they deserve it but because you deserve to live with no pain (peacefully).
Keep yourself busy, have no time for regrets, be too busy to have any time other than being happy and focusing on the future rather than the past. And most importantly, remind yourself of how strong you actually are. Like they say “what doesn’t kill you, makes you stronger” you are stronger now because of all those experiences from the past, and you will keep getting stronger.
It is true that nothing lasts forever, not the moments we want to keep forever or the moments we fail to forget. So, yes whenever you have a really long bad day just remind yourself that it won’t last forever, and that bad day may just result into something great, which wouldn’t have happened otherwise.
Life is tough, get a helmet and just deal with it!
