Dubai Hosts Rammstein’s Lead Vocalist on His Birthday For A Night Of Rock-And-Roll

Dubai is known to be one of the leading cities across the Middle East in so many things. One of which is hosting rock stars, which is to be fair a rarity in our beloved conservative region. And today is no difference in the cosmopolitan oasis. But at the same time, it’s a very special day, ‘cause it’s not every day a golden god of rock, the Frontman of one of the biggest hard rock bands in the world, celebrates his birthday in Dubai!.

Quick recap of the institute that is Rammstein

The German band formed in Berlin in 1994 after winning a local contest. They started recording demos right afterwards and the almost-three decades that followed were history.

The legendary lineup of the band consists of:

Lead vocalist Till Lindemann, lead guitarist Richard Kruspe, rhythm guitarist Paul Landers, bassist Oliver Riedel, drummer Christoph Schneider, and keyboardist Christian “Flake” Lorenz.

They have remained unchanged throughout their history, so is their approach to songwriting, which consists of Lindemann writing and singing the lyrics over instrumental pieces the rest of the band have completed beforehand.

Ladies and Gents, the Frontman, the Lead Vocalist, the Capricorn… Till Lindemann. Our birthday king was born 4th of January 1963 in Leipzig, Germany, to a Journalist mother, and a Poet father. His career in music goes way back to 1986, when he was playing the drums in the experimental rock band First Arsch. He started writing lyrics in 1990, which was the catalyst amongst other factors in forming Rammstein.

He was listed among the “50 Greatest Metal Frontmen of All Time”. He is a musician, a lyricist, a poet, a true multitalented Capricorn who uses his art to criticize what’s wrong in the social construct, which is something that goes deeper than the initial shock value and the over-the-top obscene rock shenanigans. Even though the heavy use of pyrotechnics and rock obscenities “hammers” the nail on the head and gets the point across. Some people tend to focus on the theatricality of Till, and completely disregard the amount of artistry he holds!.

In a true Capricorn fashion, Till celebrates his birthday by doing more work, performing his solo projects in Coca-Cola Arena, Dubai. And to be quite honest, if you do something you love on your birthday does it even counts as work?!

Nonetheless, the birthday concert is a part of limited European tour. Concert-goers can expect the song set to be a mix of favorite mega hits and his latest releases from his solo projects. This is the first time his solo albums get performed live in the Middle East. So the MENA region hardcore fans are in for a very special treat.

Of course the concert is held under all the safety restrictions for the pandemic, under the rules of Dubai government. So a proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 PCR test is required to attend the concert. Just to rock out and be safe all together.
