Dubai Shopping Festival Returns With Six Unmissable Experiences
The “World’s longest-running retail festival” has returned this December, with a handful of leisure events and entertainment activities in store. The 27th edition of the Dubai Shopping Festival is set to take place from the 15th of December until the 30th of January, offering a bouquet of entertainment, shopping deals, delicious dining options, and prizes awaiting.
The beauty of the festival, amongst many things, lies in the fact that you can witness and relish some of the most exotic light shows and entertaining performances, with no cash to pay. Yes, you can now have the fun of a lifetime, for free! So without further ado, here are some unmissable, free-to-attend shows!
Dubai Lights
The newly created Dubai Lights initiative will feature six unique interactive art installations from international lighting artists across 6 different locations in Dubai. You can enjoy Dubai Lights during the period of the festival underway. Exhibits of interactive art installations from international lighting artists will take place at various locations including The Pointe, La Mer, Last Exit, and Al Khawaneej.
Spectacular Light Installations at Al Seef
As you wander down the area, you will find yourself pleased to be surrounded by a bunch of innovative and sustainable art installations in the Al Seef area of the city, as part of the annual DSF. Hesitant yet on where to head next? Well, you have the whole DSF event duration (15th Dec-30th of Jan) to have a decent walk at Al Seef, with gazing art sculptures and mesmerizing lights illuminating your way!
TunesDXB
The three-Day TunesDXB will feature live musical performances and entertainment at 15 different locations across the city. With La Mer being the primary location, the audience will get to closely see local talents, attend community events, and concerts some of which include America’s Got Talent star Peter Rosalita, as well as concerts of Arab megastars. Make sure not to miss it out! The event will start on the 7th of January and end on the 9th of the same month.
DSF Drone Shows
One of the must-dos is to catch the live shows and be mesmerized by an array of bright colors and coastal sights against an impressive backdrop. The Dubai Shopping Festival Drone Light Show will definitely blow your mind with its high-tech production of themed shows.
The Drone light show takes place at BlueWaters and The Beach opposite JBR, and its shows run daily between 7:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Shows have already started since the 16th December and will continue up until January the 30th.
DSF Fireworks Nights
Presented by Al Zarooni Group, visitors will have the opportunity to watch the fascinating spectacle of pyrotechnics and fireworks from vantage points in the city. Augmented reality experiences
Wonders never cease, huh? Even augmented reality experiences are now offered by the DSF. In order to participate, all you’ll have to do is to point your camera at QR codes on special ‘totems’ across the city, and the gate of supernatural worlds will be wide open through window displays, on-stage concerts, and more!
