The Most Egyptian Thing Just Happened to John Kerry and We Can’t Stop Laughing

Aiming to boost engagement in areas of security, counter-terrorism and trade, Egyptian president Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi paid India a three-day visit to hold talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

On Friday evening, Sisi, among other officials were waiting for the US Secretary of State, John Kerry, to arrive. Little did they know that Kerry was experiencing the most Egyptian thing in the world. Yes, he was stopped at the doors by one of Sisi’s security guards, asking him if he had his mobile or a camera on him. Kerry seemed to be a bit startled, and probably thought who would stop the US Secretary of State for a security check? Sorry Kerry, our boys don’t do wasta.

WE SAID THIS: There are no exceptions when it comes to safety, and that security guard knew that. Egypt needs more people like him.
