Who is Fawzi? That’s the question we’ve been asking ourselves all of last night. Well apparently no one knows, and it’s gonna be like that for a while. Etisalat Egypt have launched a promotional campaign for points collection through different partners in Egypt, in the fields of Education, Entertainment, Fashion, Food & Beverage & Medical. The idea is you can gain points for purchases from these partners while being able to redeem vouchers on a buying basis. 

Ahh, and the twist is that it is only for Etisalat customers (non-corporate). We still haven’t told you who Fawzy is. We really don’t know. I wasn’t trying to hype you up for a big answer or anything. They just decided to call the campaign Fawzi and launch episodes to try and ease in the suspense of his identity.

Playing on a new idea of marketing (in terms of execution), 4 characters are revealed through the campaign, Talaat Hassan Abo El Hol, Kadri Ibrahim El Sammak, Sanaa Mohsen Sanaa (that’s a man, apparently), and Shams Khalil El Leithy. Im sorry, dont have much on them either except for some biographies provided on the campaign website www.fawzi.com.

From the looks of it, this campaign is here to stay since they opened the door for partners to join (so if you own a business in the included fields, you definetly should go for it). Some of the partners that are already on board include Renaissance Cinemas, Curves Gym, Femina, Game Valley, Tie Shop, Peking and La Rose Spa.

We dont mean to sound misinformed, but this is a campaign that’s current tag line is “حاول تفهم إيه اللي بيحصل”, “try to understand what’s happening” so bear with us till we dig a little deeper.

The campaign episodes are directed by the one and only Hamdallah (famous for the Melody TV ads), and music by Adham El Mistikawy(Ouzo) and Alaa.
