Even outside of Ramadan, Egyptian TV is keeping audiences hooked. This off-season brings a mix of comedy, drama, and even horror, with some of our favorite stars stepping into bold new roles. Here are the shows we’re most looking forward to.
Walad Bent Shayeb
Premiering October 1, this one feels like a family favorite in the making. The story follows an elderly man who chooses to live away from people—until two young men break into his house, turning his life upside down.
What follows is a mix of emotional drama and comedic clashes between generations. With Ashraf Abdel Baky, Laila Ahmed Zaher, Entsar, and Nabil Issa leading the cast, plus Zena Abdel Baky stepping behind the camera for the first time in TV drama, this is one to watch.

Ibn El Nady
Launching October 2, this comedy-drama centers on a young man who unexpectedly inherits a local sports club. Suddenly, he’s dealing with players, rivalries, the press, and the everyday chaos of running a club. With its mix of humor and relatable challenges, it promises plenty of behind-the-scenes drama.
The series brings together a strong cast led by Ahmad Fahmy, Ayah Samaha, Hatem Salah, Ahmed Abdelhamid, Sayed Ragab, Mohamed Lotfy, and Rushdy El Shamy. Written by Mohab Tarek and directed by Kareem Saad, the project pairs sharp writing with a versatile ensemble.

Ibn Elnassaba
Kinda Alloush makes a strong return with this social drama directed by Ahmed Abdelwahab. She plays Rania, a lawyer whose life falls apart after her husband disappears, leaving her to raise their son alone. But instead of staying broken, Rania fights back—balancing her son’s bike-racing dreams with her own pursuit of justice and revenge. Expect an emotional, powerhouse performance from Alloush.

La Torad Wa la Tostabdal
Ahmed ElSaadany and Dina Elsherbiny join forces in this socially driven story directed by Mariam Abou Ouf. Still under wraps, the series is expected to touch on pressing issues in a family and social context, with an ensemble cast including Sedky Sakhr, Fadwa Abed, and Hassan Malek. Definitely one for the drama lovers.

Ward W Chocolata
In Someone’s Story: Roses and Chocolate, inspired by a true story that once stirred public opinion, this series, led by Zeina and Mohamed Farrag, promises high emotions and suspense. Zeina plays a broadcaster caught in the middle of a story that unfolds over just ten episodes, shot between Cairo and Hurghada. With Maha Nassar and Mariam El Khosht also on board, and Mando El Adl directing, this series feels both timely and intense.

Zorouf Ghamda
Amir Karara steps into the horror genre for the first time in this Muhamed Nayer-scripted, Mohamed Bakir-directed thriller. The plot begins with the murder of a merchant and unravels through a series of chilling investigations, exposing shocking secrets along the way. With Ayah Samaha, Sedky Sakhr, and Nabil Issa in the mix, it looks like Egyptian TV is ready to fully embrace horror.

Final Thoughts
This season’s lineup is all about variety—whether you’re into heartwarming comedy, gripping social drama, or spine-tingling suspense, there’s something here to dive into. With top stars and new creative risks, off-season TV is proving just as exciting as Ramadan releases.
