VIDEO: UAE Ministry of Interior Warns Youth About Dangers of Social Media

With TV shows such as Catfish, Black Mirror and 13 Reasons Why, more and more people are being exposed to the dangers of social media and technology — if used in the wrong way.

In a new video released by the United Arab Emirates’ Ministry of Interior, young residents are being warned to proceed with caution on social media.

The 27-second long video, titled “Social Media is Not a Game,” features two 10-year-olds speaking to each other online; except one of them is not an actual child.

WE SAID THIS: The UAE are warning parents to watch children for signs of depression or suicidal behavior. Let’s hope this campaign can raise awareness!
