#UberMeHuawei: Huawei Launches New Mate 8 Smartphone With a Special Surprise

Huawei’s sleek new smartphone, their flagship Mate 8, just launched last Thursday and the tech company released it with a special surprise for a select number of lucky winners in Cairo.

Partnering with ride service Uber, five branded cars roamed around the city carrying the new Mate 8. Users had between 12 and 3 PM to spot the Huwei cars in the Uber app and order one to their location. Waiting inside was the brand new phone, featuring a six-inch screen, 16-megapixel camera, long-lasting battery life and boasting the fastest processor in the industry.

The lucky winners walked away with a new Mate 8, but Huawei wasn’t done being generous just yet! Participants still had a chance to win the phone. All those who ordered a Huawei car in the Uber app but didn’t get it had until Saturday, Feb. 13 to upload a video on Instagram shouting “Uber me Huawei!”, tagging @HuaweiMobileEG and @Uber_Egypt and using the hashtag #UberMeHuawei for a chance to win a Mate 8.
