UAMO Art Festival
Darb 1718 has been notorious for holding fantastic opportunities as an outlet for artists of all sorts since they opened their doors in 2008. Their latest venture continues with their mission to expose and fame as many home grown artists as possible.
They are calling all Egyptian artists to apply and take part in the International UAMO Art Festival 2012/2013.This festival will be taking place in a number of countries including Munich, Sofia, Seoul, Rio de Janeiro, Vienna, Zurich, Gyumri (Armenia), Cairo, Valencia and London.
Egypt has slowly grown to be recognized in the International Art scene and it is events like this that only give further opportunity to those who have the talent and aspiration to do something different with their lives.

“In each city around the world there are exhibitions of local artists on the theme “PLAY TIME”. All works presented during the city tour will also be shown at the UAMO ART FESTIVAL in Munich (spring 2013).
The festival’s theme to which the artists can present their works varies each year. Recent themes have been ” Ultra Social” (2011) or “Konsens – Nonsens” (2010).
2012/13 theme is “PLAY TIME”.

Accepted artists will attend the exhibition opening on November 2, 2012 for a live online video streaming session with a parallel event in Munich.”
