UAE to Launch the Nation’s Biggest-Ever Community Campaign This Ramadan
Under the directions of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and his wife Her Highness Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of UAE Food Bank, the launch of “10 million meals” campaign is expected to be implemented during this year’s month of Ramadan in order to support the UAE’s low-income families as well as individuals who have been highly affected by the coronavirus pandemic.
The “10 million meals” campaign will enable public entities, companies, businessmen, entrepreneurs..etc to make a financial donation to purchase cooked meals and food supplies or provide food items and packages for distribution to the hard-hit families and individuals with limited incomes, and are striving to make it during the current circumstances we’re living in.
How to donate?
Donations are actually open for anyone or any entity that’s interested in contributing to the campaign through these four different methods:
- Online donation: Purchase a specific number of meals through the website www.10millionmeals.ae
- SMS donation: Send the word “Meal” by SMS (Etisalat and du subscribers) to 1034 (to donate one meal priced at Dh8), 1035 (to donate five meals priced at Dh40), 1036 (to donate ten meals priced at Dh80), 1037 (to donate 20 meals priced at Dh160) and 1038 (to donate 50 meals priced at Dh500).
- Bank transfer: Make a transfer to ’10 million meals’ campaign bank account at Dubai Islamic Bank with IBAN no: AE430240001580857000001
- In-kind donations: please contact the toll-free number: 8004006 to donate food supplies and parcels or any other services.
