We’re already in August and summer is nearing its end, but the UAE still has plenty going on. Whether you’re into concerts, parties, or just looking for something fun to do, you’ll definitely find your cup of tea in the country.
We put together a list of some of the best events happening from now through September — there’s still plenty of time to get out there and make the most of it.
Limp Bizkit
August 12 at Etihad Arena, Abu Dhabi
Nu-metal legends Limp Bizkit are making their regional debut as part of the ironically titled Loserville Tour. Frontman Fred Durst leans into the nostalgia with his retro persona, but the band’s live energy is as explosive as ever — serving up hits like Rollin’, My Way, and Nookie with the same rebellious fire that defined a generation.
Natalie Imbruglia
August 23 at Dubai Opera, Dubai
Famous for her 1997 breakout hit Torn, Natalie Imbruglia has maintained a devoted fanbase thanks to her consistently impressive work. Standout releases include White Lilies Island and her latest project, Firebird.
Macy Gray
August 29 at Coca-Cola Arena, Dubai
Grammy-winning soul singer Macy Gray is heading to the UAE this August, bringing her signature raspy vocals to the stage. Expect classics like I Try from her chart-topping debut album.
Harry Potter Film Concert Series
September 6 & 7 at Etihad Arena, Abu Dhabi
You can now experience the wonder of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone and The Chamber of Secrets like never before — on a giant 40-foot screen with live musical accompaniment by the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra, bringing John Williams’ iconic score to life over two impressive days.
AP Dhillon
September 7 at Coca-Cola Arena, Dubai
via Virtual Expo Dubai
The Indian-Canadian sensation is back at Coca-Cola Arena after a sold-out show in February 2024, delivering his trademark fusion of Punjabi roots and global pop sounds.
La Bohème
September 18–20 at Dubai Opera, Dubai
The Hungarian State Opera brings Puccini’s beloved La Bohème to life — a timeless story of love, art, and heartbreak, highlighted by iconic arias like Che gelida manina and Quando m’en vo’.
Swan Lake
September 25–28 at Dubai Opera, Dubai
A timeless ballet set to Tchaikovsky’s iconic score, Swan Lake has captivated audiences since 1877. Performed by the Hungarian National Ballet, it tells the enchanting story of Prince Siegfried and Princess Odette, whose love is tested by a dark sorcerer’s curse.
Candlelight: Queen vs. Abba
September 27 at Ritz-Carlton Ras Al Khaimah, Al Wadi Desert
A string ensemble will bring to life iconic hits from Queen and Abba — from Bohemian Rhapsody to Dancing Queen — in an atmospheric desert setting on an intimate circular stage. Part of the Candlelight concert series, the event reimagines beloved tracks in a refined, candlelit ambiance.
The UAE never takes a break. Even though summer is reaching its end soon, the fun isn’t. From electrifying concerts and desert candlelit performances to ballet and blockbuster movie nights, you can make the most of what’s left of the season. Don’t let it slip by.
