For the first time, Billboard, known as the go-to platform for ranking the popularity of artists, songs and albums is making its way to the Middle East. Today, they have launched Billboard Arabia, a platform dedicated to celebrating artists with Arab roots. This platform is going to shine a big spotlight on Arab artists by including their latest music releases and their biggest interviews. Along with that, the platform will also include exclusive coverage of regional and global events.
Just like the original version, Billboard Arabia will also release several charts during 2024 that will be created by pooling data from the top streaming platforms to place a celebratory spotlight on the artists making it big in the music scene. At some point, the platform will also host the Billboard Arabia Music Awards. Through all these features, the platform will become a central hub for all things Arab music.
“Billboard Arabia is more than just a digital platform. It will be the premier destination to celebrate the Arab music community and empower the business of music through data-driven charts, live concerts and awards” said Jomana R. Al-Rashid, CEO of SRMG, the largest integrated media group from the Middle East/North Africa that partnered with Billboard to launch the platform.
Since it was founded 130 years ago, Billboard changed the music world for the better. With Billboard Arabia, the Arab music scene is also in for an exciting transformation.
