Syria Under Israeli Fire Again Amidst Gaza Genocide

Lebanon isn’t the only country that was caught in the crossfires of Israel’s attacks, as Syria was another country that faced several air strikes. Early on Sunday, Israeli strikes hit several sites across Southern Syria. This isn’t the first time that Israel attacked Syria, as since the beginning of 2024, Syria has been hit 24 times.

The recent attack came from the direction of the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights. Along with that, two military sites at the Qalamoun mountains Northeast of Damascus were also hit.

According to the state news agency, SANA, air defense shot down some of the missiles, and that’s why these attacks only led to minor causalities, as only one soldier was wounded. It also led to “material losses.”

Amidst the backdrop of the six months of the Gaza genocide, Israel continues its attacks on other countries in the Middle East, actions it rarely acknowledges.
