Sisi Attends Grand Opening Of The Third Africa Forum on Science, Technology and Innovation

On February 10 President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi opened the third Africa Forum on Science, Technology, and Innovation that will be held until February 12 in Cairo. The forum will be held under the sponsorship of the Ministry of Higher Education and the African Development Bank.

Sherif Ismail, Egyptian Prime Minister, Akinwumi Adesina, Chairman of the African Development Bank Group, and 35 African ministers of Higher Education, Sciences, Technology, Innovation and Scientific Research were present in the event along with some scientists, researchers, innovators, and development partners from all around the world. 

Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Khaled Abd Al-Ghafar said during his talk at the forum that “The African continent’s [people] gathered their will on this common agenda through six specific axes: poverty reduction, disease prevention, communication, preservation of the African external space, community building and wealth creation to improve the social and economic situation and bring about a better future for the people of Africa,”. [sic]
