Sheikh Mohammed’s Latest Initiative Will Make Your Heart Melt
Earlier this year, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and ruler of Dubai, the one and only Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid El Maktoum announced — as part of the Year of Giving — that people with disabilities would be called “People of Determination.”
Well, Sheikh Mo didn’t just stop there. He has taken things to the next level by making swimming easier and more accessible for People of Determination and the elderly with his new initiative at Al Mamzar Beach Park.
Sheikh Mo is basically going to provide a water chair service for those who cannot swim on their own — such as people on wheelchairs and so on. We know, right? They’re also going to be aptly called “water vehicles.”
