Rouh Al Rouh Becomes A Key Reference As Muhab & Massar Egbari Echoe The Sorrow Of Grandfather Abu Deyaa

The story of the Palestinian grandfather from Gaza who lost his granddaughter Reem has touched the hearts of people around the world. In the video, The loving grandfather Khaled Nabhan or Abu Deyaa is hugging his granddaughter while talking to her. and is heard saying “This is my the life to my soul.”

The world East and West has responded with sympathy to the sadness and sorrow of the grandfather after losing Reem who was still a little child. Various artists have snapshotted the moment in their paintings. The moment even made it to a football pitch when the Egyptian footballer Hassan Koka was spotted wearing it on a printed t-shirt. Now musicians too have joined. The Egyptian band Massar Egbari has released a song “Rouh Al Rouh”, which was followed by another release by an Egyptian artist Muhab of his song ‘Roh.’

Both songs use “Rouh Al Rouh” as a direct reference and consolidation to Abu Deyaa in particular, and to all the Palestinians who ache for the loss of their friends and family amid genocide in Gaza. Muhab’s song features visuals of Abu Deyaa holding the child one moment, and in another she fades away leaving behind an empty space.
