Reserves in the New Bahraini Oil Field Is Estimated To Be A Game Changer
At a press conference last Wednesday, His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa, Bahrain’s Oil Minister, said the quantities of oil discovery may exceed 80 billion barrels! He added that the area of the new oil discovery is estimated at 2000 square kilometers with quantities of gas estimated between 10 to 20 trillion cubic feet.
The discovery of the oilfield was announced on Sunday and is said to be the country’s biggest in decades, located off the west coast of the country. It is expected that the discovery will immensely impact the country’s financial position.
