Oh my God! Oprah, Where have you been all this time? Last night, the biggest household name in television’s history, Oprah Winfrey, accepted the Cecil B. DeMille Award at the Golden Globes and describing her speech as “phenomenal” would be putting it mildly.

In 2017, we have witnessed thousands of women coming forward with sexual assault allegations in Hollywood. The empowering movement led to a global trend with the hashtag #MeToo, where women started sharing their own personal experiences, calling out men, and saying “Enough”.

But leave it to Oprah Winfrey to give the most empowering and inspirational speech that women and men have ever heard in decades.

“A new day is on the horizon,” the media mogul promised young girls watching, adding that “time is up” for the men in powerful positions that force women to be silent.
