Lebanese filmmaker Mounia Akl, known for her acclaimed feature Costa Brava, Lebanon (2021), will direct two episodes of Netflix’s upcoming series House of Guinness, which explores the power struggles among the children of brewery tycoon Sir Benjamin Guinness.
Akl has also directed British television dramas, including Boiling Point and The Responder, both of which earned critical recognition. With her new Netflix project, she brings her talent for layered storytelling and social insight to a global audience, continuing to build her reputation as a filmmaker who blends emotional depth with compelling character-driven narratives.
