With the Arab Cup approaching and the region’s football calendar moving into its final stretch, the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025 Local Organising Committee has put the first ball in play by releasing the tournament’s official soundtrack, featuring “Zamani” and “Makani”, ahead of the tournament running from December 1 – 18.
“Zamani,” meaning My Time, is performed by Qatari artist Hamad Al Khazina, with lyrics by Mohammad Al Khajah. The second release, “Makani” (My Place), features Egyptian pioneer Mohamed Mounir, with lyrics by Mostafa Hadouta, directed and choreographed by Egyptian Layla Ghaleb. The song explores the idea of home from a human perspective, focusing on shared identity, unity, and belonging across the Arab world.
Both songs were produced by Doha-based Katara Studios and composed by Moroccan-Swedish producer Nadir Khayat, whose previous work includes contributions to the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 soundtrack.
This year’s tournament features 16 teams across six stadiums, starting on December 1 at Al Bayt Stadium, where Qatar will face the winner of Palestine vs. Libya. The final will take place at Lusail Stadium on December 18, with matches also held at Ahmad Bin Ali, Education City, Khalifa International, and Stadium 974. Digital tickets are available via roadtoqatar.qa.
