Meet the Finalists of Injaz Egypt’s Startup Competition 2015
We’re constantly bombarded with million-dollar ideas that don’t have their true potential of growth because we leave them at just that: ideas.
Injaz Egypt have been helping turn those ideas into something a lot bigger for nine consecutive years. On Wednesday, Apr. 8, 2015, Injaz Egypt’s 20 finalists will be competing at AUC New Campus for the third and final phase of the competition: incubation.
The 20 competing startups will receive seed funding ranging from 50,000 LE – 150,000 LE according to the finances that each startup needs. Seven lucky winners will be selected to enter the incubation phase and get the financial and legal help needed to register their business as well as mentorship to help them grow.
On the last day of the six-month incubation phase, a demo day will be held with a graduation ceremony for the seven winners; investors are invited to meet the startups and help take them to the next level.
The winners will be chosen by a panel of judges, but the startups are also competing for a separate award allowing the teams to get extra cash: each “like” they get on Facebook is worth 1 LE and each vote during the event will be valued for 100 LE, with a ceiling of 5000 LE for each team.
So help the teams you think deserve to win by heading over to Injaz Egypt‘s page and like away!
