Yesterday, the entire world went crazy over the arrest of a 14-year-old Muslim boy in the US. You would think, that being Muslim, he probably got into some sort of trouble or joined a terrorist organization or was up to some kind of mischief, because that’s why Muslims usually make news. However, this teenager gained the support of millions of people because of his love for science.

Last Monday, Ahmed Hussein, was arrested for building a clock. Yup, you heard me right. Excited to have built a homemade clock, Hussein brought it into school to show his teachers, where it was found suspicious and mistaken for a bomb. Hussein ended up leaving his school in Irvin, Texas under the suspicion of building a bomb. A hoax bomb, might I add.

While Hussein has been detained from school, he has been flooded with millionsof supporters from all over the world who have been using the hashtag #IStandWithAhmed. And as sad as this unfortunate event was, Hussein got recognized by tech companies and was offered many internships and great prospects for his future career.

Even President Obama showed his support to Ahmed Hussein on Twitter:

Many companies also stood with Ahmed and showed their support and some even offered him a potential internship:
