Late Monday evening, Israeli airstrikes hit Beirut, Lebanon’s capital, targeting an area near Parliament, several embassies, and the United Nations headquarters. It was the third Israeli strike in central Beirut in just two days.

According to Lebanon’s state-run National News Agency, the attack left at least five people dead and 31 injured. Ambulances rushed through the streets as emergency responders worked to manage the devastation.

Israel’s airstrikes on Beirut have escalated amid an ongoing military operation targeting Hezbollah. Lebanon’s Health Ministry reports that more than 3,500 people have been killed in Israeli strikes since last year, with 80% of those fatalities occurring in the past month.

Additionally, on Sunday, an Israeli airstrike in central Beirut killed Hezbollah’s chief spokesman.
