In Pictures: ‘The Seed’ a Display of Kinetic Sculpture Nestled in the Mangrove Forest of Jubila Island
Jubail Island, Abu Dhbai just installed a new breathtaking addition to its area; a display of kinetic sculpture nestled in the new beach area “The Seed”. Devised by creative director Es Devlin in collaboration with a team of Emirati creatives, the futuristic cube-shaped moving piece of art is showcasing the evolution of a beautiful seed throughout its various stages of life while using light and sound effects.
The display is available for the public to go and see until January 30th of this year. Tickets cost AED30 for 18-year-old and above, AED15 for kids aged 7 to 17, and free for anyone younger. The money from the tickets will be used to go towards a conservation programme in the mangroves.
