In Photos: Heavy Rain in Kuwait Leaves the Country Flooded
First, it was Saudi Arabia, now it’s Kuwait’s turn to change from a city to a river. It’s raining everywhere in the Gulf and the social media coverage is anything but comforting. Kuwait has been struck by a storm that led Kuwait Airlines to announce on Twitter that all operations for Tuesday will be halted due to bad weather. An hour later the airline announced that all flights will continue as scheduled.

The heavy rains have left the city flooded, yet the Interior Ministry stated that there will be rescue operations in all affected areas. The roads are closed, the traffic is being redirected and people are being evacuated from buildings affected.
