I Dreamed of Africa; Egyptian Doctor-Booking Platform Vezeeta is Branching Out!

Via MENAbytes.

Vezeeta, a leading Egyptian doctor-booking mobile application, is looking towards expansion in Kenya and Nigeria with a plan to set foot in both African nations within three months.

Founder and CEO Amir Barsoum announced in an interview with The National that the company is eyeing expansion in Africa as well as Southeast Asia. Vezeeta already operates in Egypt, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan.

The Egyptian enterprise moved its headquarters from Cairo to Dubai late last year in an effort to attract foreign investments as well as talent from all over the globe. According to MENAbytes, the now-established startup has been on the look for data scientists, product managers, and engineers.

Currently, Vezeeta is working on developing its ePharmacy brand, in which they aim to streamline pharmaceutical solutions with patients able to have their prescription delivered to their doorsteps. If applied, Vezeeta would carve up a whole new niche for itself with practically no significant competitors.

It seems that the startup does not look forward to expanding in the UAE as the market there is already saturated with apps offering a similar service such as Okadoc, Meddy, and Doctoruna.

WE SAID THIS: Another homegrown startup is taking the region by storm; what a time to live in!
