Hurghada Attack not an Act of Terrorism
Like most incidents in Egypt as of lately, International media has taken it upon themselves to to jump the gun and report an attack in a Hurghada hotel, as a terrorist attack – whilst throwing in Daaesh in the mix of course.
The likes of Sky News, CNN, BBC and other international outlets have reported the supposed terrorist attack to be linked to IS:
To set the record straight from those who live in Hurghada an area that has had the least terrorist related issues, the inside story is as follows:
A man who wanted money from the hotel owner threatened to spoil his business if the money wasn’t paid. He sent him 2 thugs to threaten the tourists and scare the hotel staff! One thug had a noise gun and the second a knife. Two tourists were lightly injured and the police caught the culprits! On the media CNN BBC etc.. they have claimed three terrorists from Daesh came from Sinai by sea and injured 3 tourists, while one had an explosive belt and the culprits were in jogging suits !
