#HuaweiCapturesEgypt: How the P9 Is Upgrading Egyptians’ Instagram Game
By now, we’re sure you’ve heard about the Huawei P9’s camera, which was co-engineered by the brilliant minds at Leica. Not only does it have a dual lens and takes RAW images (if you’re a photographer, you’ll understand how revolutionary this is) in addition to its other pro options, it simply takes beautiful photographs.
So Huawei knows all about pretty pictures. In this spirit, they recently held a photography competition called #HuaweiCapturesEgypt along the lines of the Ministry of Tourism-supported hashtag #ThisIsEgypt. Out of 1,000 submissions from Instagram and Facebook, a selection of the most stunning photographs were chosen to be displayed at a special exhibition at Shelter Gallery in Cairo.
The photos were judged by Art of Seeing Center founder Mohamed Ismail, photographer and videographer Ehab El Adly and Shelter Gallery founder Yasser Youssef. The winners received prizes and a Certificate of Achievement from Huawei. Check out some photos of the exhibition below:
