Here’s Why Minister, Rania Al-Mashat, Has High Expectations For Egypt’s Tourism Sector

During an interview with Manus Cranny, Yousef Gamal El-Din and Tracy Alloway for Bloomberg, Rania Al-Mashat, Egypt’s Minister of Tourism explained why tourism in Egypt is expected to soar this year. Al-Mashat explained that dynamism and diversity are to be expected soon.

The tourism sector has been struggling for a few years now, however, the minister confirmed that Egypt’s Red Sea has been one of Germany’s top destinations and the same is expected for Russia after the decision to resume flights.

One of the ministry’s plans in boosting tourism is focusing on sustainable cities, which have already been built near the Mediterranean coastal city of El-Alamein. The eco-city is expected to cause developments in tourism, agricultural, residential, and industrial sectors.
