This one is for the ladies – and actually, lady-lovers as well!

The Breast Cancer Foundation of Egypt is hosting its third Pink Party on Saturday, Sept. 28 at the Cairo Mariott Hotel in Zamalek. Enjoy fun music, Zumba moves and get informed about breast cancer. Such parties are held all over the world, with the aim of raising funds for cancer research and spreading awarness about the nature of the disease, refuting common misconceptions and discussing the methods of early detection, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation. It’s a great support group with amazing energy. And dancing sure helps.

Check the video out below and find our more info about the Cairo Pink Party here.

Also happening this Saturday: Egypt will joint the rest of the world in the first ever international relay for cancers affecting women, The Globeathon. Gynecological cancers represent more than 19% of the newly diagnosed cancer cases worldwide. They’re responsible for 2.9 million cancer deaths and 13 million five-year prevalent cancer cases among women in the world.

It’s our responsibility as a society to shed some light on the nature of such diseases that affect our mothers, wives, daughters and sisters. Cancer affects the whole family, but it can be managed easily with early detection and proper treatment.

So this Saturday, in solidarity with female cancer patients around the world, come join the walk to end women’s cancer and spread the word! Find out more info about the event here.
