Has Virgin Launched First Glass-Bottomed Plane?

We all know Richard Branson is no ordinary billionaire entrepreneur so it was only natural that last April he decided to announce that Virgin Atlantic would be the first to launch a glass-bottom plane!

Although this plane will be part of an another first for Virgin Atlantic as the beginning of their domestic flights to Scotland. This is in hopes to increase tourism and if anything to celebrate the love he has for Britain as a whole, stating “This  will enable Little Red passengers to appreciate the beauty of the British landscape.”

Finishing his announcement off with a great thanks to his entire team and that he is looking forward to incorporating such experience in other Virgin Atlantic routes, asking all other Virgin companies to support this innovative trial. 

Having said all this and imagining myself flying whilst watching 30,000FT bellow, it is only fair to let you know that there may not be too much reality to all this.

Branson is said to have taken advantage of the date, being April Fools and has in fact fooled you all! Yup although this technology may come in the near future this spoof has been circulating the internet with not much truth. Smart on Branson’s part, as they have in fact launched their domestic line to Scotland but we ill not be flying with such luxuries as of yet!
