From Siwa to Sahel: The Ultimate Inside Look at the North Coast’s First Eco-Luxe Destination

Among the lapping sands of Egypt’s desert oasis of Siwa sits the iconic Adrère Amellal, a luxury eco-lodge that has hosted the likes of the world’s elite globetrotters, including King Charles and Queen Camilla, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and his family, and Kuwaiti investment banker Rawah Al Falah Badrawi.

Now, Marakez, Egypt’s award-winning mixed-use real estate developer, has partnered up with the esteemed Adrère Amellal Eco-Lodge to bring to life ‘The Ramla Nature Lodge’. While talking to an inside source within Marakez, we got an exclusive preview of what the eco-lodge will ultimately look like.

Unveiling The Vision Behind The Lodge

Siwa’s desert lodge is heading to Egypt’s stunning Mediterranean North Coast, which stretches almost 1,000 km. The Ramla Nature Lodge will claim a prime 40,000 sqm spot within this vast coastal resort, setting up its new oasis by the sea.

There will be four distinct and captivating hospitality experiences designed to redefine luxury and relaxation. From a Beachfront Boutique Hotel, where the beach is just steps from your door, to the charming Lagoon Cabins, which offer an intimate escape amidst serene waters.

Along with that, guests can enjoy the panoramic beauty of the Mediterranean from the Seaview Hotel, where every room offers a front-row seat to breathtaking vistas. Finally, for those seeking ultimate rejuvenation, the Wellness Hotel at the Ramla Nature Lodge promises a sanctuary of tranquility and holistic well-being.

The Nature-Inspired Rooms

Similar to the original hotel, the Ramla Nature Lodge will feature the same individually crafted rooms as the Siwa location. Each room is skillfully fashioned using traditional Siwan methods, with walls of rock salt and roofs, doors, and windows made from palm wood. A total of 71 of these distinctive rooms will come to life at Ramla.

When Will It Launch?

With it being such a big project, the Ramla Nature Lodge is slated to open in 2027.
