Free Access to Dubai Airport Using Your Emirati ID

An announcement was made earlier by Major General Obaid Muhair Bin Suroor, Deputy Director General of the GDRFA, that citizens and residents of the UAE can enter Dubai airport’s electronic gates (E-gates) that allow people to enter the country simply by scanning their Emirates ID card – without needing to register and will be able to use this service at Dubai’s Teminal 3.

UAE citizens and residents were required to register to use Dubai airport’s E-gates. “The service will be free of charge, and there is no need to register for it.” said the Major General.

This addition to Dubai’s airport will sure make air travel in the UAE easier and more convenient than before, and there are plans to extend the services to other terminals as well.
