Football Round Up May 15th
The only important thing to report in the world of football this week is Manchester City winning Barclay’s Premier League.
After beating QPR 3-2, Roberto Mancini’s squad won the league title (on goal difference). Manchester United shares the same number of points as Man City, but takes the second place spot, followed by Arsenal. Also, Inter Milan pulled of a surprising win in the Milan Derby, teaching AC Milan a proper lesson, but alas.. not changing the standings in any way (Juventus won the league title… big whoop)
In other football news:
The French League (Ligue 1) standings are unchanged, with Montpellier in first place, followed by PSG and then Lille.
The Spanish League (La Liga) still sees Real Madrid (100 points) in the top spot, then Barcelona (91 points) and Valencia (61 points) (Spoiiler Alert: Villareal is facing relegation, after finishing the season one point away from the danger zone)
The German League (Bundesliga) has got Borussia Dortmund at the top of the table with 81 points, followed by Bayern Munich (73 points) and Schalke (64 points).
Lets face it.. none of this info really matters because football aficionados are just waiting for the UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FINAL.
