Taiwanese cellular phone maker HTC is reportedly hooking up with social network giant Facebook to come up with a smart phone specially designed to satisfy consumers’ Facebook addiction.

According to a reliable insider, High Tech Computer Corporation (HTC) is currently developing a Facebook phone that uses Android as its operating system.

The Facebook phone is undergoing several tests, having a code name of Opera UL. The source added the smartphone’s specs include Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, 1,280×720-pixel HD display, and a 1.4GHz dual-core processor. The Facebook phone will also run on a Qualcomm Adreno 305 chip or the Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor.

Nonetheless, the source believes the development of Facebook phone could take some time as both companies remain iffy to talk about the rumored project.
