Last weekend we got invited by MBC to spend three days in Dubai for the Project Runway: Middle East live finale. It was a luxurious extravagant weekend where we got some much needed pampering full of fun, fashion and most importantly the live finale of our favorite new reality show, Project Runway: Middle East.

So without further ado, here’s our final list of our 13 favorite moments from our Project Runway Middle East live finale Dubai trip.

1. Weekend Extravaganza

From business class Emirates flights to a stay at the luxurious Atlantis hotel, a dinner at the Ossiano restaurant by the aquarium and more, MBC treated us to a fancy weekend where we got to experience the lifestyles of the rich and famous!

2. The World of Elie Saab

We got to go to the Elie Saab store at Mall of The Emirates, check out monsieur Saab’s latest pieces and newest perfumes and fragrances and rub shoulders with Elie Jr. and international fashion blogger Bryan. We even got some gifts including an Elie Saab scarf and brand new Nuit Noor perfume (sorry, not sorry).

3. Red Carpet Ready

The red carpet at the Dubai Design District (D3) was packed with celebrities and fashion royalty including Arab’s Got Talent judge Ali Gaber, Egypt’s very own Yousra and Inas El-Degheidy, Lebanon’s fashion queen Hadia Sinno, ‘Best Khaliji TV Presenter’ Nouraldin Al Yousuf and many more!

4. Show Time!

The moment we’ve all been waiting for the past few months!

5. Discover Dubai

The montage with our favorite product placement clips of the contestants going around Dubai made us very jealous (even though we were just going around Dubai ourselves) and we just wanted to handcuff ourselves to the runway and NEVER LEAVE!

6. Victoria’s Secret Realness

There might have not been any angels but mixing the musical performances with the runway shows was a nice touch by the producers!

7. Where’s Waldo?

Issa’s collection had probably the best inspiration behind the designs and the threads… But WHERE ARE THE THREADS? That’s the question that everyone wondered when the pieces walked down the runway and it wasn’t until the end of the show that we noticed that they’re actually in ALL OF THE PIECES but they didn’t show the way he intended to we’re sure.

8. I Believe I Can Fly (Deja Vu)

We’ve previously mentioned how the producers were obsessed with flying and apparently Alaa is the same. Because even though this piece wasn’t the most amazing one of the night but it was definitely a show-stopping moment that left everyone in awe and it was the moment we all knew Alaa was the clear winner of the season!

9. Elastic Heart

Out of all the choreographs of the night (and there were a lot… A LOT!), our favorite was the Sia-inspired number serving Maddie Ziegler and Shia LaBeouf realness!

10. I Do, Salim

Not only does every girl we know want to marry Salim but another show-stopping moment was his wedding dress.

11. Elie, STAAAHHHHPPP!

Elie played good cop, bad cop… with himself. Because after he gave Bellos to everyone instead of Bruttos, he had a change of heart and started ripping all the designers to shreds except for Alaa, basically announcing that he was the winner. He also left Jessica clearly speechless who kept unsuccessfully trying to cut off the spoilers rant.

12. And the Winner is…

OBVIOUSLY! Even though we love the other designers but out of everyone, you could clearly see that Alaa actually really REALLY wanted it and worked the hardest for it!

13. Take Two!

The first season might be over but our highlight from the night was when producers Mohamad Abdul Hak and Alex Meouchy announced that they already started casting for SEASON 2! They also said to expect completely brand new challenges and unexpected surprises!

Honorary Mention: Can’t get you outta my head!

After the show ended, all the crew members came out to congratulate Alaa, each other and snap some final pictures. The cutest moment though was when the host Jessica Kahawaty told reality director Marcel Dufour that she’s going to miss having him at all times and that she wishes she had him directing her in her life. She later shared that again on her Instagram account with the caption “Please don’t leave me.”

WE SAID THIS: If you’re a fashion designer or know one who would love to be on the show, make sure to apply online right now for season 2 through mbc.net/pr.
