Nike Challenge Episode 3: No Motivation In Sight
We’re three episodes into Nike Women’s web series Margot vs Lily and it seems that last week’s slow start has continued, with sluggish results all around.
In episode three, Margot tries a sexier new strategy for her fitness show, while Lily blurs the lines between friendship and fitness. Still, they don’t seem to be anywhere near reaching their goals — and neither is Scoop Team!
There are a lot of zeroes on these scoreboards. We do have one outstanding negm in our midst, with Hady beating his eight-week goal on day nine! Let’s see if he can keep it up for the rest of the challenge — and if the rest of us can find the motivation we need.
Kurt: Got 76.5 hours of sleep out of 392
I slept a lot better than last week and I’m proud of that. And I can’t wait to sleep more tonight. Zzzzzzz
Nada: Lost 1 kg out of 5
I miss my potatoes. Can we get this over and done with, already?
Samar: Tried 5 new Egyptian experiences out of 50
This past week I had some pretty magnificent experiences, but didn’t do much. I went to the pyramids at night, heard Omar Khairat perform and ate Béchamel. So I did some Egyptian stuff… I’m pretty much failing right now, but I plan on beating Sherry if that’s the last thing I do!
Hady: Ran 48.7 km out of 42.195
Reality hit me hard this week. After I was on a high the first week, I had a lot of work this week, especially during the weekend, so I missed out on going to the gym for a few days and I haven’t been eating as healthy as I wanted to. Even though I accomplished my eight-week goal on day nine, I’m a bit disappointed with myself because I wanted to push myself more, but I will definitely be trying to make up for it.
Dina: Meditated 8 minutes out of 840
I literally can’t even.
Aprille: Went to 0 yoga classes out of 10
I’m really not prioritizing this. No more excuses. Next week I’m all in.
Sherry: Went to 2 fitness classes out of 24
I feel like a loser. Work has taken over again, I have no life, not even time to work out!
Monaliza: Went to 0 drum lessons out of 12
I had a very busy week and didn’t have time to practice. Hopefully, I accomplish anything by next week. Fingers crossed!
Islam: Went to the gym 4 times out of 24
After the first week passed, I realized no matter what good you do, it seems you always get screwed, so I decided to shake that attitude and do what I can. I set a goal and I need to work on achieving it because time waits for no man and tomorrow’s not promised. I went three times to the gym, one hour each, but I really don’t believe in numbers because results is what matters in the end, right Hady?
