Egyptian-American Mohamed El Erian to Head Queens’ College, University of Cambridge
Egyptian-American businessman Mohamed El Erian never fails to make fellow Egyptians proud by his unparalleled list of achievements. And he just added one more milestone, after being appointed as the new president of Queens’ College, a constituent college of the University of Cambridge, England.
“The Governing Body of Queens’ College, Cambridge is delighted to announce the election of Dr. Mohamed A. El-Erian as the 42nd President of Queen’s College. He will take office on 1st of October 2020,” said a statement from the university.
El Erian was previously the Chief Economic Advisor of Allianz, CEO and Co-Chief Investment Officer at PIMCO, Columnist at Bloomberg View, Contributing Editor at the Financial Times, and Chair of President Obama’s Global Development Council.
Moreover, he was named four years in a row as one of Foreign Policy’s “Top 100 Global Thinkers” in addition to writing two New York Times bestsellers.
