The Egyptian Government gave Tech Powerhouses, Apple and IBM, a period of 60 days in order to end their monopolistic policies in Egypt before they sue them! “Apple and its distributors have violated the competition protection law because they have agreed to isolate the Egyptian market geographically from inter-competitive factors, ban parallel imports and make exclusive distribution agreements, in violation of Article 7 of the Competition Protection Act.” said the Egyptian Competition Protection Authority in an official statement.

This has led to an unjustified increase in Apple’s product prices in Egypt; surpassing the prices of products in the Middle East! We hope that this initiative might actually influence the prices of Apple mobile phones and other products! e
