Titanic is coming back to life! Or to be more precise, a replica of the most famous ship in history is going to set sail from Dubai in 2022! RMS Titanic was a British passenger liner that sank in the North Atlantic Ocean in 1912, after colliding with an iceberg during her maiden voyage from Southampton to New York City. The story of the ship became one of the greatest movies in history; winning 11 Oscars, and having a cumulative worldwide gross of over two billion dollars!

The idea to build a replica came out in 2012, exactly one hundred years after the original ship sank. The project, Titanic II, was supposed to launch in 2016 in China and start the Dubai cruise this year. But although it has been delayed, Blue Star Line, the company behind the project confirmed that it’s finally happening!

“After a shakedown cruise from the shipyard to Singapore, we’ll offer a two-week maiden voyage to Dubai, with another grand voyage from Dubai to Southampton,” said Chairman, Clive Palmer.

The new Titanic will have nine decks and 840 cabins capable of accommodating 2,400 passengers and 900 crew members! It will also feature digital navigation and radar systems, modern safety features, and an adequate supply of lifeboats.

WE SAID THIS: Let’s be honest, there was a room for Jack on that door!
